Don't know if they will work together or not but the shock I would say to get is the Stratos El Jefe shock. One if the best shocks for 50s and I wouldn't think that the 110 shock would be any worse. That would be a hot setup

Hey does anyone know if the works 9" travel shock ( http://www.ppsracing.net/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=58 ) and the big minis rear end kit http://www.bigminis.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=132 will work together? Or does anyone know of any other good shock to use with that rear end kit. Also i havent seen anybody with this big minis rear end so if u have one or has used one please let me know how u like it. Thanks

No, the works shock(9" travel) won't work with the big minis swingarm for a couple of reasons.

1. It will be waaay to high in the rear end, when you change the position of the shock mounts it greatly effects the ride height. That is why they can run a standard length shock and get the rear so high with the big bike style swingarm. It also has 8" of travel with the El Jefe or I-shock.

2. It will be too soft, once you change the geometry of the shock like that it will put a much greater load on the shock, causing it to be very soft.

There are some other reasons I can think of, but those are the main ones.

Its funny that you ask, because I know all of this info about 110's and I don't even have one yet. Its only a matter of time though, and i've done as much research as possible on these bikes.

IN REGARDS TO ITEM #2 THE GEOMETRY BETWEEN POSITIONS ON THE TOP SHOCK IN AFFECT TO THE LOAD ON IT THE CHANGE IS SO SMALL THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN NOTICE IT. AND IF YOU CAN A LITTLE MORE OR LESS PRELOAD ON THE SHOCK WILL DO THE TRICK

I meant that if you used the works shock that is set-up for the stock shock mounts, then you change it to the position of the BM swingarm it would make it soft. I hope your trying to understand what im sayin. :)
