Check out tbparts.com,Trail Bikes has some good kits at affordable prices or go to chpusa.net and get ahold of Lyle and see what kind of deal he can work out.

If you can swing it i'd go Takegawa,Lyle gave me a heck of a price on my 106.
For best performance, get a kit that comes with a race head.
Lifan 150. Make it so the carb only opens 3/4. You'll have 4 gears, the oil filter, be faster than an 88RH, and live forever. With the $100 left over you can get a longer arm to keep the torque from flipping you all the time. Or move up on the seat and spend the cash on strippers.
TB is having a great deal on an 88 kit with a race head and comes with much more than their regular kit for the same price.
Cant swear by the reliability cause I don't have enough time on my 108 kit, but the Tak 106 and Trial bikes 108 kits will walk all over an 88 kit, at the same time I think there is no argument the 88 kits are solid, ran the thing hard as hell day after day and never had a problem, hopefully the 108 is the same way, only time will tell

As far as price goes unless you switch to a different motor (lifan, etc) its hard to beat trail bikes prices, seems like you get a lot for your money
I have a bbr 88 flat top and im not satisfied. Ive been looking at the tb 117 kit and it looks nice. Any input? I dont have $1000 to spend like some of the tak kits, do they make anything affordable?

Im lookin for a little more than an 88.
Make sure you add in the beefier clutch, bigger carb, pipe if needed, when totaling it up.

Would it ruin the tranny without a clutch?
No, the clutch will just slip when you put a bunch more power to it.

Ok. Wat about a transmission, i know tak makes 4 and 5 speeds without the clutch kit, are the worth it?
WAY out of your posted budget. CHP had the good trans mount clutch and 3 speed on sale for $500, but the 4-5 speeds are close to $1000

Cheapest 4-speed has to be the AHP if you want the extra gear
I think he has got dratv money on the 4spd set-up

Is the AHP reliable and not some piece of junk

I want to add some top speed on top of the bbk so i was wondering if the trannys are an option

The AHP trans is a good way to go.
