Yep Manwhore is right round hollow tube is stronger but square tubing in the right design is stronger !!!

PS. lets face it frames bend no matter what we do. we are big fat people riding little bikes and it just happens :!:

Yah when you cut me a check I will get right on it.

PS. titanium is not that strong just light

correct me if I am wrong... I thought that it was light because the strength of it allows you to use much thinner wall material... no?

but as MXcrazy says... I wont be abusing it much... I am ok with the lightness factor.

Say you have an RB pro frame/swingarm and you bend a frame, can you get that replaced at a fair price? I kinda want a convenitonal setup, and was thinking about that. Cause If I bent a frame with conventional setup it'd be cheaper to replace probly.

I don't think I'd want my fiddy frame made from carbon fiber. When it breaks, it breaks catastrophically. I've been racing/riding MTN bikes for way too long and have several components on my XC race bike made from Carbon. Carbon Fiber makes sense in places where key weight savings can be realized without major injury if a failure occurs. For instance, I've seen several broken carbon fiber seatposts happen - I for one wouldn't want to experience that 8O

The thought of sailing through the air on the Fiddy with a carbon frame and having it snap upon landing just doesn't do it for me.

I could see it for the street bikes though.

Just my .02 :D

yeah like a stelth bomber.

i have been making and racing carbon stuff in dh/xc/bmx for 8years.

i have been aboard when the following has broken:

4 seatposts, the kevlar we but in them keep then from sheering off.

3 hardtail frames.

1 rear swing arm on a xc fs bike.

3 pair of bars, 2 not ours

one bmx fork, was almost the death of me.

after all that proto stuff i know how to make carbon parts.

first will come a swingarm and shock, price close to most.

then a frame that will be a bit like the hanabrink.

i know it is your opinion, i respect that. but it still doesn't want me to change your mind. :p
