are they stronger? im guessing yes. i need a rear axle bolt. only if its stronger

Well I may be slow but I don't know what grade axel bolts you have.. Are they 12mm grade 9 axels? I just got a grade 8 today but would love to have some stronger ones.. Things tend to bend when you're hitting 45 foot doubles on the fidy..

its 12.9 grade 3rdpin not 9. its a high carbon steel, strong but brittle(perfect for an axle tho) usually looks flat black.

grade 8 is US reading 12.9 is metric which is stronger then grade 8

what r u trippin on? 8 and 12.9 are different metals, standard and metrics got nothin to do with it.

what r u trippin on? 8 and 12.9 are different metals, standard and metrics got nothin to do with it.[/quote] there is no such thing as a 12mm grade nine (12mm would come in a 8.8 10.9,12.9 etc.. and grade 8 would be like a 1/4 bolt 5/16 1/2 etc..)so yes it dip shit and and for the metal not true all the time it is the tensile streingth of the bolt the hardness dumb ass know what you are talking about before you talk shit there is a lot more to it but i dont feel like writing a page strong bolts or a higher grade is not always better because a lower grade bolt like a 8.8 will stretch before it brakes while a grade 10.9 would just brake so a broken axle bolt or one that is bent like i said there is a lot more to it dumb ass

what do you want me to say? i already said what you just did! an 8.8 grade is great, i figure a 12nine is good too, like you said tensle strenth. its a axle theres not much hard bending going on there, last time i checked. a high carbon steel resists bending more than a 8.8! thats all! if its not better why does a 12.9 grade metal exist?!

because it can be from the same steal stock its the way they make it like harding of the bolt that would make it stronger etc... the end i am done i think you know were i am going with this if not go read a book

For me anyways , when I see these kind of statements they really make me lose intrest in what point your trying to get accross .
