Why do you think you'd kill the engine with shifting? Do you just not want to shift anymore, or are you really concerned with killing the engine because you have to shift it? I can tell you, having to shift in stop and go traffic will not hurt your engine at all. It's designed to do that. If not, all the groms and monkeys in the area would be dead or dying.

Ok. An ATV engine may be you best bet. Unfortunately, I haven't seen too many auto or semi auto engines bigger than 125. You may have to cobble something together to make a bigger auto engine.
Biggest thing, is that you have to work on your shifting. I'm not sure how long you've been riding, but bad shifting will definitely kill an engine quickly.
