Hey Guys,

My 140 motor will be in on Thursday, and I have no idea what to use for a thumb throttle. Will all thumb throttles work? Do I only just need to make sure I have the proper ATC70 throttle cable? All info would be greatly appreciated!

If you're going to use a much bigger size carb on the 140, the stock throttle cable may not work for you, it may be too short and not allow the throttle slide to completely close when you let off the thumb throttle.
You might want to reach out to members John jr and SSLS1, both of whom have built big displacement ATC's, and see what they used

What size carb? I used one of these cables with my stock thumb throttle & 20 mm carb.
They have lots of adjustment. Worked well. Can't beat the price.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's the 22MM Mikuni? carb that comes with the 140 Piranha motor from TBolt. I just found a TRX250X thumb throttle assembly with cable on eBay. Going to see how that works out. If it doesn't work at least I have a thumb throttle to use, then I'll pick up one of these cables Tmas linked that may be closer in length.
