i bought a long travel i shock and a sano ls8 swinger. The shock wont go into the frame. it is like the bushing in it is too thick. anybody else have this problem?

Someone or the factory who put the other shock in just bent the frame tighter or closer together when the shock was tightened.



How much is it off?

its off probably about an eight of an inch. the frame looked bent in a little and i bent it till it was straight. is it supposed to bow out a little?

i had to grind the spacers on my klx shock down some . grind the shock space or get a really big hammer.

No, the frame should be straight. Maybe put the shock in a vise and make sure the bushings are all the way in. But don't wreck them!!

its gonna fit tight but it should go in.....use the vise

I'd call I-shock and see what they have ta say first before make'n any adjustments that can't be reversed , like grinding .

The bushing width OR the inside measurement of the shock mount should be 3/4" apart.

If it's not, adjust accordingly.

i got it on there. i just grinded down the bushing a little bit.

We just installed the same set up. We didn't have a problem with the shock but the swingarm didn't fit on the frame. We had to grind the bushings litttle bit.

one end probably has a wider set of bushings in them. There is a swinger end and the frame end

i had the same problem, then i swapped the bushings from top to the bottom. problem solved they were on the wrong ends.
