Stock carb on the KX65 is a Mikuni 24mm. I am pretty new to 2-strokes so I am wondering what other options are out there and what sort of benefits there are to running possibly a larger carb or maybe even a different type of carb like a flat slide. I am having the motor rebuilt now with some porting to the cylinder and so on and it will be used for RRing so low end power is going to be essential for getting the bike moving out of the corners but top end is going to be helpful as well obviously.

Going to a bigger carb you will lose bottomend, Johner has your ticket with the oval boring,i'm going to have that done to my pitbike carb,as I like my bottomend, but want some more on top,and when I put on a bigger carb what I gained on top I lost on the bottom.
