Almost Done!

Almost got her done. :p Well, except for the motor work. I'm installing a TB88 w/ ported/polished race head in a few weeks. I have a Vapor to put on also. Then I will probably install a high output stator and some high quality lights. I still have to dial everything in with the forks/clamps/suspension. I just mounted the 12" front today. Anyway, I'm getting there and thought I'd share some pics. Thanks everyone for your help with parts and knowledge. This site is invaluable.

ha X3. i personally dont like the shorter bars either
What kind of lights are those and where do you get them?
I kind of like it. Something different and not your run of the mill Monster black/green.

What kind of rims are those? I see a logo on the side so you must not have sourced up some older BBRs.
Thanks guys for the comments. Gold is a REALLY hard color to work with and make look good on just about ANY motorcycle. I fully expected ALOT of "don't like the gold" comments. I wanted to make it work though and had a "vision" on how I wanted it to look and I think it turned out really well (to me anyway). ;) It's definitely a little different than what we usually see. I was kinda worried about it looking too "blinged out" but I don't think it looks that way really. My next build will look completely different. ;)

Ray, walmart has the lights. They run off 4 AA batteries each and run for 60 hours per charge. They are good enough for "cruising" around at night... which is always fun.... but if you want SERIOUS lighting.... ya gotta go with a high output lighting stator and some quality hid's.

five21, I finally did what I should have done from the start and went with Excels. Get this..... ProWheel doesn't even have gen 2 gold wheels available!!! They have a ton of gen1 though. Gold just isn't a big seller. Prowheel did offer me a set at a HUGE discount.... but I had to say no, thanks. Gen1 are garbage.:( I wanted BBR from the start but only the OLD style gold would have matched. The "new" rims are not anodized

"in house" any longer and are much more copper colored than they are gold.:( Oh well. I am completely happy with the Excels. They match great and are obviously good quality.

Big Daddy P, yeah... it's a Billetware Cradle Mount.

looking good so far especially the head lights
nice build I also like short bars, but its funny to c such a mod job with stock displacement. also not a gold fan but it does not looky blingy or hood lol good build
sick i like the gold and blue, think it looks good in the snow. Nice lighting system.

Yeah, wheels were suppose to be very last thing I did but it didn't work out like that and now the motor will be last. Like I said earlier..... I'm getting a TB 88rh kit ported and polished from Mark at AHP in a couple weeks...... and that will take care of the stock displacement problem. haha :p I'll run that until I am bored and then I'll stroke it and add an oil cooler.

Thanks again, guys for the comments. I totally understand how some of ya feel about gold but I think I did a pretty decent job pulling it off. I MAY end up powdercoating the kickstarter and/or the skidplate black. Not sure yet.

Oh, and gotta install my Vapor also. Think I'll go start on it right now. :D

Also, what do you guys think about the forks? Should I lower the clamps some or is it pretty close to where it should be? Only reason I ask is because I haven't had a chance to ride it yet(cold/snow) to see how it handles to dial it in. It looks a tad high in the front.... but maybe not.

Bike is just about finished though except for the motor (and some tranny work) and a higher quality lighting set up. I will probably be selling the led's that I have on there now. 8)

Here are some older pics of the led's......

Bike looks sick. Liking the graphics and lights...
looks good. I'm surprised you got the wheels done so quick. The Excels are much better than he BBRs (imo). You've got some great parts on that bike. I also had the BBR Super Stocker, Elka and SP-5 set-up on one of my first builds. I found the SP5s way to soft for me, but it was still 100% better than stockers.

What Vapor are you going to run? Are you going to run this on the street later cause you're talking about most of the parts you need to make it streetable.
