How do I adjust the suspension on my ssr 160 tr? I keep bottoming the suspension out on jumps

What do you weigh? On the front you can add oil to the forks 5-10cc at a time to get more bottoming resistance. The rear spring might be a progressive spring (the SR models are). You can tell if the coils are spaced closer together on one end of the spring. Here a comparison to show you. http://www.bikernet.com/news/images/PhotoID37261.jpg
if it is progressive more preload will stiffen up the spring rate. If you have to use so much preload the bike doesn't sag under it's own weight you will need a stiffer spring.

Turn them right or left with a flat head screwdriver to soften or stiffen the forks.

Ok are they supposed to click because mine dont thats why im confused

Not always, just turn them all the way clockwise to just lightly seat them then start at 2 turns out (ccw).
Also you need to set the rear sag. Find out the total rear travel.Your bike should sag about 1/3 of the total with you sitting on the bike in a neutral position. Yes you'll need a buddy. Good luck.
