Adding a Racehead to my old 88 kit ?'s

I'm currently running the TB 88 bore up kit on my 50 with the HV oil pump and the TB cdi. I want to add the racehead now (I know I should have done it in the first place). What will I need, besides the TB race head package, to do this?

I've heard I will need a new cylinder since the current sleeve is scored to the current piston and the race head will be running a new piston. Is this true?

I feel like my transmission has been slipping with my bike as it is. Will I need to install the heavy duty clutch when I add the race head?

All you have to get is the head, piston, gaskets, and manifold. A clutch is a good idea, or at least get new plates and heavy springs.

So I don't have to replace the cylinder then? That seems strange to me becuase I would assume the existing cylinder would be scored to my current piston. Wouldn't a new piston score the exisiting cylinder with a new pattern? I would think that isn't a good thing.
Nothing that a slight hone won't clean up, if there is a minimal amount of wear in the cylinder. The new piston and rings will fit tighter than a gnat's ass.
