Got a friend with SB5's and he was wanting to know how to make them stiffer. They blow through the travel REALLY fast.



Me and him ordered the same clutch parts and upon reassembly his case cover wouldn't fit on properly. Anyone ran into this?

Are you talking about BBR's forks. If so You can put thicker fork oil in them, try a 30w.

Then they are SP5's..... and yes you can put thicker oil in them.... run thenm at around 115ml of whatever you feel comfotable with.... i use 10wt and they seem pretty.

I just finished making mine stiffer since they are way too soft for me (175lbs) and they feel awesome.



they come with 10wt oil at 3.5 oz per leg.



I put in 20wt oil at 4 oz per leg.



They feel awesome and i've hammered them. I think the next thing im gonna do is use a piece of pvc as a preload spacer. Because my springs have broken in and now there is like a spot in the stroke where it feels like there is no spring tension on studder bumps etc.



Also last time I had my case cover off I had the same problem. the kick start shaft kinda gets in the way and those studs make it harder to get on. I dunno what I did but it took me like 10 minutes to get the cover on and I dont know what I did that finally got it on lol.
