Alright here is the cheapest, best setup for an xr70! I got this swingarm on Ebay for $25!!! I didnt have to do any modifications to the swingarm. It was practically bolt on!! Im not done yet, all i have to do is make a new mount for the shock on the frame. Jetster220 and I are going to do that tomorrow. Considering the swingarm costed 5%-10% of any other swinger out on the market for a 70. The ride height now is going to be around 9"!!!!! Check the pics out

yea it would probably a little too long for the 50 considering its 4" longer than the stock 70 swinger. The top shock mount isnt on there yet so it will look better once we get that all worked out

im going around town tomorrow to look for some 60/65 parts (i also have a 110) ill let you know how much massaging it will take to get the swinger and or fork set up on there, oh i was going to say you could do the damping rods and get a extra inch or so out of your stockers, i bet that would about even out the ride.

thats what i am going to do. i am going to put the sp5s in the 70 froks and it should be level. When u do this tho you will need a shock with a heavy spring rate. The paioli is too plush, but luckily i found a spring for it.

ok, all i could find in town was 60 forks and swinger. Foxxx70 did you just bolt the shock to that mount on the swinger? does it look like its gonna hold up? I was looking at a 65 and thats where a "dog bone" looking linkage mounts. Oh well fuck it if it breaks ill fix it? oh and how long is your shock? and who makes it again? if you would please measure it for me i would greatly appreciate it. thanks.

what i meant was where the shock mounted to the swinger, because thats not where the stock shock mounts, thats where one of the linkages mounts. I checked one out today though and it looks pretty stout so you'll prob be alright.

Oh and just a update on my situation

the width of the stock swingarm mounting points on a 110 is 5", the width of the mounting points on a 60 and a 65 swingarm is 4", both 60 and 65 stock swingarms are made of steel, so unless your about to do some pretty heave massaging to the frame or swinger you wont be able to get them on very easily, but from the looks of things im gonna get a full 65 chassis and go that route, im planing on using the stock shock(with stiffer spring) and narrowing my frame and adding mounting points for the linkages!!!!

Good luck with your suspension upgrades kids.... and remember that buying bolt on suspension is for people without an imagination.
