FULL SUSPENSION A+ ATC 70 true survivor, to restore or not to?

I recently picked up a REALLY nice unrestored ATC 70 Accessories + 1985 donor 3 wheeler.

My question is,, Should I keep this bike as is? (original decals, number plates on fenders etc etc.
OR redo it to original race state?

This was built for a kid to race with just about everything that could be done to this vintage bike for racing.

Still has the original tires (good tread but minor weather check)

I installed a shock off an 82 ATC250R which improved the rear a bunch but would have to mod the fork internals for something much stiffer if i refurb.

I would still, even if i refurb it, wish to keep it looking as it did when new.

THE BIG problem is, while i am a very experienced mechanic, i have never restored anything and have ALOT of questions, so if you're knowledgeable on restore or think i should keep it as is, please don't hesitate to speak up! Thanks for your help in advance.

I think it would be fine to restore. Only times you really don't want to restore a 3 wheeler is when there is a history behind the bike, like it was Jimmy White or Marty Harts race bike back in the day. Other than that you wont hurt the value by restoring it, but keep it period correct and you will be fine.

Thanks for the input powerstroke, can i pick your brain as to what you would do? what if any mods or changes? I am thinking of possibly adding a headlight or front number plate when i restore.

It could use a bit more pep even though its probably an 88cc so i am thinking of rebuilding and saving the motor in it now and possibly slipping in a 125 or 140. Anyone else have a thought?

Keep stock motor for sure throw a 140 on it and do the Douglas wheels on it from Gordon at hondaatc70 The 4 lug with race cut and hole shots would look awesome on it. He also has some good lighting on there check him out
