I was wondering if anybody knew how much fuel a 72-78 z50 gas tank will hold? I am running a Clarke tank and rather than telling how much gas the tank can hold it just says "same as stock." I heard the monkey tanks are around 0.7 gal. I would like to get upwards of 4 gallons of fuel on my bike. Thanks!

1972-1978's are 4 Liters.



1979-1987 (and Monkey tanks) are 5 Liters.

Out of curiosity, what kind of range can you get from 5 liters?

I think I was getting like 55mpg on an 85cc 4 speed with a 22mm carb.



4 liters = 1.05 gallons. Pretty good sized tank. Thanks dan.
