I am in process of starting a weekly race event for minis at Central Cycle Club cccmx.com thinkin may-september theirs a couple hurdles to get over to start having these events the first is price and this is why i am doing this..my last race in nov I showed up thinking 40 dollars would suffice to race one event. I felt like I got raped (left for dead lying naked- freezing in the rain with a torn a-hole) it was 80 bucks and their was 2 of us...only 1 got to race I borrowed his money. turned a fun day upside down..so my solution for price is free yes imagine only paying for gas for your bike and gas to get their. how do i accomplish this. lets talk about the down side to holding a event 1st its insurance incase someone wants to sue. 2nd its with insurance you have to have a ambulance their at all times of event just 2 ambulances cost over 1k
My solution just buy joining the ccc. theirs 2 ways all the details are on their site.. so for a whooping 125 dollars a year(regular member) you get entitled to race every wens (big bikes) mini races every (day to be determined) and have the keys to this place to ride their anytime any conditions.they weekly wens day races have been going strong for over 15yrs now every year this is not something new and experimental.. we also want to have a mini event before each nesc race their usually once a month lighting has been installed for night events but if your not a member you cant race simple as that!!!! you have to go to these money hoarding events and have them boss you around for a pat on the back when you win.. From what i ve seen at these get the promotor rich races none of the top "rockstar" guys are making a living off racing these events. and for every 1-4th place ridder theirs still 5th- 35th place who gets nothing.
So the only thing holding this event from happing every week is YOU
and no it won't be the same courses every week all sorts of events are planned hill climb to woods to wheelie contest (rain out days) rain or shine this stuff goes on. Or maybe you like making other people rich the only thing I will be getting is the beer I mooched off you time is on my side its up to U
