hello guys, first post here,
I recently re-acquired my first motorcycle, an 83 XR80. I am going to modify this into a flat track/TT racer, I am looking for a swing arm that can put 17" rear tire on it. I like xmr's aluminum swing arm but don't know if that big of a tire will fit. I can modify a little, but don't want a total fab job. other mods will be a flat track fender seat and a modern front end with something with a disc brake. I put 13" rear shocks on it, don't know from what.

Thanks for the response. Is that a bolt on item? Or will I have to modify it any? this is my first attempt at making a custom bike, I'm not very familiar with the interchangability of the different models. My father is a restorer and disapproves the use of anything that didn't come on a particular model. Thanks again for any input in

Yes. It is bolt on. You will need a longer brakestay arm and brake rod as well.

Pretty sharp looking bike. Can you give us a breakdown of the suspension parts you used?

Her she is now with the dirt track fender, aluminum swing arm and new bars. Next up is powder coating the frame satin black
