I have a 1971 Honda Z50A mini-trail that i use for riding around town with some friends. This minibike is the slowest, any tips or modifications i can use to go faster.

Get a 88 cc kit for it. It will wake it up.

Try a bigger front sprocket for more top speed, and as Tmas said, think about a bigger piston (and the carb and pipe to go with it.)

so will that basically up it from a 50cc engine to a 88? sorry i dont know very much about all this.

I have found it more cost effective to just purchase a whole China engine and swap it in place. I have a 125cc 4 speed in my z50 and it hauls ass. Best bang for the buck.
