  1. CRF110 popping at quarter throttle

    Honda CRF110
From your pic above, it looks like you have open access to the oil pump sprocket after you would unthread it from the other side of the engine, correct?

With the 88 kit you now have an increase in compression, and the clutch may be slipping a bit more now with that increase in resistance. I'll assume you're experiencing the flywheel not turning over when you are kicking it, and you've found that if you ease through the kick downstroke, it turns...
  3. CRF110 popping at quarter throttle

    Honda CRF110
You shouldn't need to split the cases just to change the oil pump sprocket, the oil pump shaft end can be accessed from the oil pump side, after you pull the oil pump off. It should only take a pair of needlenose pliers and a straightslot screwdriver to lock the sprocket in place, unthread the...
  4. CRF110 popping at quarter throttle

    Honda CRF110
Is the piston seized in the cylinder? Is that why you have to split the cases?

  7. 1973 Z50 Valve Conundrum

    Z50, CT70 and JDM Monkeybikes
Chances are the extra mm won't be an issue, but it probably wouldn't hurt to clay the piston to make sure it doesn't hit the valve.
  8. 1973 Z50 Valve Conundrum

    Z50, CT70 and JDM Monkeybikes
The Clymer Manual does not list the valve face diameters, only the above valve stem information. I don't think that it is a stock OEM Honda head, the 22mm valve face seems large for a 50cc engine, and more apt to be found on a stock 70cc head, which would normally have the beveled edge like I...
  9. 1973 Z50 Valve Conundrum

    Z50, CT70 and JDM Monkeybikes
According to the Clymer Manual, the standard valve stem OD for the 50, 70, and 90cc engines should be 5.455-5.465mm for the intake. Is that a beveled edge between the combustion chamber area and the flat surface of the head, or is it all flat until you get to the combustion chamber?

Can you post up some pics of the head, to see if there are any Honda-type numbers on it?

Snce you've changed all the suspect items with replacements and still get the same end result, at this point I think I'd be checking for a sheared keyway that may have your flywheel just off enough for it to still run, albeit poorly. Just my 2¢....

Some guys use one HD spring and one stock spring on the front forks, making it somewhat softer, personally, I've never tried it. The HD Delrin bushings do take all of the stock slop out of the forks, they are worth installing. A rear shock is usually a personal preference with regards to how...
