starcross front
shinko rear

started with starcross front and rear. Started chunking knobs on the starcross rear within an hour of riding. Love the shinko, hooks up beautifully, cleans out stuck mud pretty well, and cheap as hell to boot.

Starcross may wear quicker on hardpack but I wouldn't go with any other tire, other then the xtreme rear for the bigger bores.
