Mix of TB and BBR parts

What combo would work the best... with a 26 carb and Yosh pipe.??
I have a BBR 88 kit that I want to mix parts to get the most power.... I also have a TB RH on a 51 crank and 54 piston.....I believe the porting on the BBR head is better than the TB RH. (except on the exhaust side which I can make bigger). Can I run the BBR head on top of the TB 51 crank and 54 piston??? I know the domes are significantly diff. but would it make more power than the TB head.....??? Can I use the BBR 88 (52mm) piston on the TB 51mm crank? (inside the BBR cylinder of course and with a 1mm spacer and use the BBR head)? I feel there is some hidden HP here somewhere or am I just crazy? I use this motor for roadracing..... Any help would greatly be appreciated....

Re: Mix of TB and BBR parts

Reed,

The TB piston won't have enough compression in the BBR chamber. I'd run the BBR, or have the TB head ported right and get the added cc's.

Yes the bbr piston has a little bigger dome compared to the TB. Crank options should work on any piston. But you should clay your finally setup just to be sure.

So you're saying BBR head and piston on the TB crank......what would that make it, a 108? 52mm piston and 51 crank? Thanks for the support...

just see the man on the corner.....

Re: Mix of TB and BBR parts

Or 116.8 if you use the 54mm jug and a $45 piston
