chinese high flow oil pump on honda motor?

i have a chinese oil pump sitting out in the shed and im wondering if putting it on my honda z50r motor it would perform the same duties of an aftermarket one from Trail Bikes or similar,

from what ive figured the chinese motor being a 110cc the oil pump would have to flow more oil than what a stock honda one would run, the oil passage on my stock honda one is 1mm and the chinese is 1.5mm, would it do my engine any good having the chinese oil pump and drilling my oil passage to suit?

I believe the oil pump on the honda engine is driven differently than the china engines.....

Honda= driven by cam chain via a oil pump shaft going from stator side to the clutch side

China= oil pump dirven off of a crankshaft gear on the clutch side.....

This has been the case on any rebuilds that I have done...which is alot

Re: chinese high flow oil pump on honda motor?

both the honda and the chinese one are driven off the lower cam gear, they have different connections to one another but the honda one fits in the chinese oil pump so it mounts up correctly,

the propeller kind of thing in the china is 3 times the height of the stock honda one could this be where the aftermarket ones claim 300 percent more oil flow?

in the image the china parts are to the left and honda to the right,

any opinions would be greatly appreciated,

Re: chinese high flow oil pump on honda motor?

all the pumps that I have had off of the china engines do not have the oil pump shaft (driven off the cam chain gear) driving the pump.....They are the trans mounted clutch engines though...and they are driven directly off the crank gear on clutch side.....the gear below the oil slinger.....

I just checked an automatic 110 and it has the shaft driven off the cam chain...so I guess it depends on what china pump you have.....some are driven off the cam chain and some off the crank..... just trying to help

thanks TRT i appreciate your input, you wouldnt happen to know what size i should drill my oil passage out to would you?

i was thinking 2mm seeing as its so similar to the trail bikes oil pump and 2mm is the required size for the TB one,
