| Official 2008 MoM Dates and Race info is Here A Message from Dave: Friends I just got back from this year’s Mini Moto SX out in Vegas and I have to tell you Pit Bike Racing is stronger than ever. They had over 700 entries for that event and the bikes that were there were insane – you want to talk factory and “works” bikes – this is the place to see all the newest technology and bling! We had two of our local MoM riders out there – Scott Furtado (66) who was injured at Marshfield last year and missed the entire 07 MoM season and our Champion Billy Ainsworth (79 Now, I am sure many of you have heard the news about Mototown and for those of you who have not – they have closed their doors, quite possibly for good. It is unfortunate and we are sad because this leaves us without a finale venue as of right now. I am looking into options as I write, but as I am sure you know, there aren’t many other indoor venues available locally. And due to my commitments for the magazine, I do not have any other open weekends leading into the series this year, so I am sort of handcuffed as to my choices. With that said I will continue to explore the best solutions available for MoM 08. As of right now we are set up for 4 events: Round 1 – Marshfield Fair, MA Tuesday August 19th Round 2 – Rocky Hill MX, CT Sunday September 14th Round 3 – Crow Hill MX, MA Sunday October 19th Round 4 – Cycles 128, Beverly, MA November 9th These are still tentative and the official schedule and pre registration will open up on June 2nd. However, this schedule is looking good. Good news – there are more and more pit bike events popping up all over the northeast – 2UP has a series that is going on right now in PA, WVA and VA, Trapani will have their series again down in NJ and the newest series is Pit X up here in New England – check those out and go support them and keep Pit Bike Racing strong! As for MoM 08 we have some amazing things planned for this year – new classes, better format, and more riding. The MoM staff is working hard to use all of your suggestions to making this year the best season to date. Thank you for your patience, ideas, and support. That’s it for now – more to come soon. | Re: Official 2008 MoM Dates and Race info is Here Mini Masters As we move into July I wanted to thank those of you who have already pre registered and secured your number for the 2008 Masters of Mini season. I know it is early and that many of you plan on pre registering so no worries you still have plenty of time. As you all know the tour will be only 4 rounds this year due to Mototown closing. I have been looking, and will continue for the next few weeks, to find a suitable finale venue but my gut tells me to just run it as 4 events and call it for 08 the goal here is not to force the proverbial square peg in a round hole and just do what we can to make these the 4 best damn pit bike races on the planet. We will have a new website up for Transworld at the end of the month when that goes in we will have an all new MoM site which promises quicker turn around of information photos, videos, results, general info for each race you name it. As always the MoM site is still 2008 Masters of Mini Preliminary Info Motocross News, Race Reports, Videos, Photos, Interviews, How-Tos and you can get the basics there now. Remember that if you are under 18 you must get your waiver and parental permission forms notarized in order to race with us hopefully this makes it easier than dragging your parents to each race. I will have a revised set of FAQs for 2008 (yes I rewrote most of it so that it would be somewhat entertaining for you) but there is some new information, rules, guidelines and general suggestions for you to get the most out of your racing experience with us. The biggest thing to be aware of is our new Stock bore and stroke ruling for the poor boy and limited classes no more running Daytona 107s Hutch! All others are open except for the modified (88cc) but we havent had any issues there. Straight up I am trying to keep this as fair as possible without turning it into a NASCAR style tech inspection. Fun first! Besides you know my number one tech inspection item good legible numbers! Speaking of many of you are asking where to get MoM numbers and graphics call any of our three great graphics sponsors: Skorbordz 800-352-5525 x 12 K Rae Graphics 978-567-8869 Core Design 203-364-9594 They have the best stuff and the best deals for MoM participants please continue to support those who support the sport, and series, that you love it makes a difference. Thanks davo |

| Re: Official 2008 MoM Dates and Race info is Here this is what dave emailed me Sign ups are scheduled from 1-3, practice starts between 330 and 4 - all depends on the track prep because Dana's crew can not start building the track until 7am that morning, so we are all on a schedule |
