looking for input-likes/dislikes w/track at cycles 128 last year

ok heres your chance for track layout input for this years event.we are looking for constructive(!) ideas for this years track.
things to remember:
long lap times-scoring people need the longer laps to score properly!!
we need to stay inside the fence!!
we are going to try to pave the uphill, but keep the step up jump(if we keep the hill)
we want to keep the start where it is -unless someone comes up with a brainstorm...
anyway have at it and lets hear what you all think.
but remember i have all deciding votes and can do what i want its my house

I know millbilly would like all the water removed from the tires hahahaha. lost the race cz a tiny bit of water got on the track and his slicks slipped and he hit the pavement hard. hahaha

I liked everything thing about last year except the serious lack of traction in the warehouse .

but was that really that bad?or did it just add another challenge?i watched some guys that had it dialed in pretty well (and i seem to recall you were one of them...) I was not crazy on the speed exiting the warehouse,i thought it was a little too fast.

Question ???? Dialed ?????

You must be mistake'n me some one else ???

I'm a road racer and not an mx guy as your track is set up for that ride'n style .

Ok so ..., if I'm not mistake'n on this ? There weren't any serious injuries that day buuuuuuut ....For me .., there was 1 spot which I felt were was a safety issue .

Entering the warehouse .

The entrance to the ware house bothered me even more cause the wall and door opening needed a taller wall of hay .

I loved the exit speed out of the building but the transition from slick to grip bugged me , cause I'd always wanted ta pitch it in early and then I'd lose the front end .

Forgive me for my concerns cause I guess as I get older but not wiser , I'm not willing to take such big chances as others will anymore .
This is my story and I'm stick'n to it .

KEEP THE COARSE AS IS !!!! GREAT JOB BRO !!!

Just my 2 cents ...

i really like it too. keep the warehouse. it took a different riding style to ride it well so it was a good challange. i liked the dirt up the hill but i was afraid a couple times of popping my tire on the lip

with the couple feet of air you were catching off the top, you didn't look scared.

haha that was rob who posted that last one...

i loved the dirt hill, jumping it on the z was lots of fun.

I really liked the whole course, I wouldn't change it. Maybe do something about the entrance into the warehouse, like make the corner alittle more low speed, it looked like some people were prettty close to hitting the wall.

i agree on the entrance-i kept trying to push the tires into the corner to square it off more but they kept getting knocked back.maybe i will use a few large truck tires to stop the tire kickers from trying to make a faster corner... andmuch more hay inside the door

the track was sick. def keep it for next year or maybe even make it bigger. The warehouse was the best part of the track, thats where i made my only passes on people.

Re: looking for input-likes/dislikes w/track at cycles 128 last year

I'd love to try to run it backwards but I'm think'n that the stocker 50's wouldn't be able to climb the hill that snakes up wards ..., plus the amount of gravel that will be dragged down onto the track will be insane cause we'll all be skidding down it .

and i think it would cause start /finish line issues to deal with.

Re: looking for input-likes/dislikes w/track at cycles 128 last year

What about starting way down on the back straight away. The point the farthest from the current start? You could fit more riders on the gate and have a slightly longer start straight with more overrun if you botch it. That was a big problem with the start was the tight confines. Plus you could funnel people down in a couple of lines OFF the track.

See if you can get someone on top of the warehouse and take a couple pictures of the lot and see if anyone can draw out a better track.

Personally, I think the warehouse part made the track. With out that.. lame(ish).

I wouldn't change a Thing Amazing Layout and the track Flowed!!!

1 Suggestion get some (Tea Base) its what the state people use for dirt in road repair to firm and harden up the dirt. (up Hill section) and stay away from the blue stone....

Secure better parking....

my goal is to get the hill paved as it is now with the step up jump that formed halfway thru the day in tact. it would be fun to jup the way it was and still be easy enough for the lower powered bike to be able to get up it without alot of difficulty.the stock 50 class had a lot of trouble when a bunch of them bottlenecked there.

You know if you and John and the Crew are up to it we could get a separate event up there in the Summer/early fall and could get 30-40 or more people to particiapate...
