Well, Things didn't go to well for me this year.. I had some awesome practice times, but both my qualifiers were pretty stacked and I just had some bad luck and couldn't get the job done.. But, I did get to do the supercross on sat night and I had some fun. But three laps of practice and a three lap main is tough to get the track dialed in, I wasn't about to go big and I think a lot of other guys were in the same boat!! Abrigo and Browning were in there own class out there...

I just want to give a special thanks all my sponsors that helped me out.

BBR MONSTER ENERGY: Can't say enough good things about all the guys from BBR. I know they catch a lot of crap on here. But let me tell you, they are hands down the nicest group of guys that I have ever been around. Anybody that came by the tent, and I mean anybody, they were willing to help. and I am very greatfull to be a part of their group..

MCR SUSPENSION: Thanks to Matt and the guys who always go the extra mile to make sure my suspension is always good

Scott Goggles: Thanks for taking care of my eyes!

I have a lot of people that help me out and I appreciate all of it, I was hoping to thank all these people on the podium at mini moto, but I guess it just wasn't in my cards this yr. I am back home and am going to dig deep and try to find that 16 yr old kid in me that let it all hang out no matter what and go to the next race and have a much better outcome. Also, thanks to a bunch of guys on here that I knew were pullin for me..

Derek you looked really good out there, you were haulin' the mail in practice. Sucks about your luck though, I was hoping you would be able to challenge Costella in the mains.

I didn't get to go to vegas to see ya race, but Iv"e seen a couple other races you were in and you are for sure one fast dude. It sucked it wasn't in your cards for vegas, but i'm sure you"ll be taking the checkered in quite a few this year. Good luck to ya this season.

im in the same boat as you, had good practice times then on the gate in my qualifier the clutch on my bike just decided to break and it like took off haha then in the lcq i rode with no clutch and i was in 2nd then cross rutted off the stupid finish 1 foot table and fell

I couldn't believe you didn't make the mains Derek, starts and good luck is a must in vegas. I was looking to do good this year and broke my foot a week before, what can you do. your fast and there will be some more races.

You looked dam good out there and so did a alot of others. But Vegas just doesn't have enough good luck for all, some people got to have bad luck too (such was my story).

ABSOLUTELY! I can't thank Duane, Brent and their Kitaco engineer enough!! They spent some time going over my (BBR) bike on Thursday night to get it running good. Duane even offered me some pizza! Hands down they are a great group of guys and were more than willing to go out of their way to help me out. I ended up getting a spark plug from them and they didn't even charge me for it. I can't thank them enough and I think it speaks highly of their company and commitment to the sport. BBR for life!

Thanks guys....I just wanted to make sure to give some love to all the people that make it all possible for me to race...Without good sponsors it is almost impossible to ride at the level I want to be at. Thanks again and I'll be ready for the next race wherever it may be!!
