Anyone have any experience with ultrasonic cleaners? I've been looking around at them and thought they'd be great for cleaning old carbs, fuel injectors, heads and other labor intensive cleaning tasks. Found one on ebay for a fair price $300 (shipped to my door), it's 6.5L (1.7 Gallon) with a 42Khz frequency. ULTRASONIC CLEANER I've heard that they work really well on carbs because you don't have to take them apart to clean them just dunk 'em in turn it on and come back in 20mins and it's done inside and out, but what about carbon in exaust ports?

it should work pretty damn good for you. we use them for manifold that we make.....and some are very small ports. works good.

There are so many of them on Ebay. Some as cheap as >$100. ultrasonic cleaner, Jewelry Watches, Business Industrial items on eBay.com Is there a difference?

Those cheap ones are fine if you're cleaning your man rings and necklaces. If you want to actually clean a carb or anything bigger then a watch, you'll need a larger one

Do you dunk the whole carb in the tank?
