talk about an expensive weekend... my 450 countershaft bearing and seal went out on the inside of my cases and let most oil out and my 250f frame broke on the bottom and took a hole out of my cases ( about the size of a softball) and it ran out of oil and blew up. has ANYONE ever seen an 08 kx 250f frame break with 11 hours on it? probably not. im pissed...

Re: talk about an expensive weekend... typical kawi...honestly worst big bike ever lol...honda all the way...BUT if it makes you fell better my buddy has blown up his 08 kawi 450 4 times now...once it siezed, once the rod snapped and went through side of cases and pretty much grenaded whole thing, and one time a bearing failed and it siezed....i guess thats 3 and the 08 250f is about to go with 10 hours...he went from Honda to kawi and REGRETS it majorly. Sorry to hear your bad luck...

Re: talk about an expensive weekend... i love the bikes, the 450 was our fault as i lost the chain the week before and snapped the hub and front sprocket and our mechanic told us we probably bent it and we did. but the 250f there is no excuse, kawi will pay for this. weird thing is i won on the 450 earlier in the day and it ran great then the 1st lap of the next one it just went and i pulled off

Re: talk about an expensive weekend... I think they will. I had a 06 yz250f, Blew up 2 motors due to there design of there valves. I got a brand new 07 out of it from yamaha. You should talk to Kawasaki let them know about the bike. Maybe they'll do somthing about it. Its worth a shot!

Good luck then. When I worked at a Kwak/Suzuki shop we'd just give them a number to the big Kawasaki guys and let them try and work something out with them. We rarely saw those bikes come back. | |

Re: talk about an expensive weekend... I have owned a kawi 250f and still own a kawi 450. The kawi 250fs are ticking time bombs honestly. But the 450s are pretty nice bikes.

Re: talk about an expensive weekend... from what I understand they dont protect their dealers very well though. that sucks about the bikes man, hope everrything works out. It seems like the bikes are getting so close to one another in specs its like "pick the color you like and ride"
