New to pitbikes, what class?

I'm new to pitbikes, but I race the A class on big bikes. I have been looking through the rulebooks of all the pitbike racing organizations I can find and they all seem a bit fuzzy with the classes. I know for AMA racing once you are in the A class in any organization for one type of racing you have to run it for any type of racing, even if it is a completely different machine. Is it the same for pitbike racing? Would I have to start in the pro class or would I be able to race the amateur class? Thanks.

it really just depends on where you race. most places you can race whatever class your bike is made for, ameture or open. go ameture for the first race. youll be able to tell if you can move up or not

yea just whatever you feel comfortable in. Most pitbike races aren't to strict.

Watch some of the videos posted here on the forum. It's VERY obvious that you can run any class that you want to. You could be Carmichael and ride stock class........
