kx65 with a yz250 motor

Is it possible? I found a kx65 roller for pretty cheap, and i have a yz250 motor. i was thinking about buying the yz250 motor mounts, and modding them to this frame. is that at all possible or is it way too big?

i was even going to cut off the bottom part of the frame and weld it to the kx65 frame that way there is little modding left to do because it will be a bolt up deal.

what do you guys think?

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor

Its possible...It would be a pretty gnarly ride but definately doable...I've seen 250s stuffed into 85s/150Rs and a kx500 motor in a kx 85 chassis...

bank on cutting up the entire frame and doing it all custom.

anything is possible but it won't be a weld a tab here and a spacer here kind of thing for sure.

oh im sure we will have to extend it and raise the tank, seat, and everything else a couple inches. but if we get a frame from a yz250 and cut the bottom half off, and weld it to the bottom of the kx65 frame, it should be nearly done...

Re: kx65 with a yz250 motor

You might wanna run stiffer springs front and rear...Or go with a whole different suspension setup all together...
