Re: ktm 50 sputters Sounds like clogged jets and a fouled plug to me...Clean your jets, change the plug, and while youre at it, clean your air filter if you havent already done so Last edited by SUZUKIRM12594; 08-31-2008 at 10:33 PM.

Re: ktm 50 sputters Couple things to check for. Check the ground wire on the frame under the seat. Sometimes they come loose or dirt builds up under them. Check the reeds. Pull them out and hold them up to a light. If you see light thru the edges, its time for new ones. take the clutch apart and clean the washers and make sure the stack is within specs. Make sure the jets are clean. If none of that works, chances are your stator is bad. Try KTMTalk.com if you need more help. There is a whole section on the KTM 50's and lots of good info.

Re: ktm 50 sputters On the KTM the little spade connector onto the coil has a tendency to become loose over time - pull it off clean it up and crimp it up with a pair of pliers and re-attach it. We had the same problem on our 50 pro Senior race bike. Cured it in the end by soldering a net spade connector on However, do check jets and clean carb out as suggested above.
