| ok, so i just got an 03' crf230 for my girlfriend... The bike hadnt been run in a year. So i drained the gas and attempted to clean out the carb. It had like brown film in the bottom of the carb, almost like rust. But i got most of it out, cleaned the pilot and main jet. Figured it should run fine now. But it kinda laggs and boggs a little bit off the start... then kinda sputters when it gets up on the top end. Then on the down rev, it back fires. I figure it has to be the carb, so im gonna tear back into it tomorow, but any ideas what exactly it could be??? Hoping DOOD will chime in here... or anyone THAT KNOWS WHAT THEYRE TALKIN ABOUT. haha. THANKS!! |

| Re: back firing, bogging.... crf230 problems :( Even stock, they need some tuning. I'd try that, and a double check on the idle circuit. http://www.powroll.com/PDF/2007%20-%...CRF150-230.pdf |
