Any Ideas for X4R Bogging?

Guys I need help. My X4R is running pretty good but I notice it bogging in all gears at high rpm revs then after a few seconds it kicks in and takes off any suggestions?

Thanks Guys

What main jet are you running? And how does you plug look? I would say it sounds rich but the whole "kicks in and takes off" makes me wonder.

Re: Any Ideas for X4R Bogging?

Sorry Guys I am your typical newb to dirt bikes. I have some enigine sense but not too much. so running lean and running rich means what? I use to ride dirts like 10 years ago but I have been out of it for a long time.

My X4R came with whatever stock jets they put in the 2008 not sure what they are?

If its running lean it means it is not getting enough fuel and rich means too much. Pull your spark plug and look at the end of it to see if it is black or white (you want a nice golden color).Black means rich and white means lean.

IS you carb a Molkt or Mikuni?

Molkt jettingthis is a good starting spot)

pilot: 27.5 or 30
Needle clip: 2nd from from bottom
Main jet: 105
air fuel screw: 1 to 1.5 turns out.

does that help? IF you have the Mikuni... I'm not sure. But I just gave you the settings off of one of my bikes.
