| 1998 Ford E-350 motocross hauler This a 1998 Ford E-350 box van. This vehicle started its life out as a Ryder moving van and now has been converted to a motocross hauler. The van was repainted 1year ago to silver and the interior was made into a shop/sleeper. The sleeper has been insulated with styrafoam and closed in with 3/4 in. pressure treated plywood. Then the walls were painted black and black carpet was also installed. The ceiling has been tiled with white 12x12 squares and has a dome light over the bench. The bench also folds out into a bed for those long trips. The shop has a work bench with cabinets in it and the floor has a interlocking rubber surface on it. The van also has a loading ramp under it to make loading bikes easier. There are many accesories from the 15% tint on the windows to generator mount to power the shop and sleeper. Box is completly wired for a generator with light switches to outlets. There are pioneer speakers in the shop and in the cab with cd player to power them. Im sure there are some things that I am missing so pm me. $4700.00 |

| Re: 1998 Ford E-350 motocross hauler Or is it a diesel? My 96 chevy box vans at work only get 6-8, but that is loaded and mainly around S. Cal Traffic. They have a 5.7L or 350. My 04 Isuzu Box truck diesel running same load in same conditions gets 10mpg and it has the Isuzu 4 cylinder turbo diesel. I personally drove the Isuzu, empty from N cal to S. Cal, I'm not a big enough man to hold 60, as I was trying to hold 75 and as I recall it wouldn't hold that speed. It was 2 years ago and I think I only got 10-12mpg. I'm sure it would be much better if I could actually drive that slow. I currently pull a toyhauler trailer with a 2000 Ford F250 power stroke diesel with 218,000 miles. One time the truck only can get 18mpg on a tank I did freeway driving back and forth to work and doing my best to stay at 65. When I tow I usually get 8-10 and I drive 70-75 except when pulling up the the steep passes here in California, I just leave it floored and go as fast as possible. Usually stays above 55. So where is this truck located, and is there any chance you are coming towards S. Cal with it? Last edited by rob linders; 06-21-2008 at 05:07 PM. |
