For Sale: YSR/KX-100 motor conversion $1800

I am posting this here since most of the classifieds are for MX based items.

YSR chassis with a 1997 Kawasaki KX-100 motor installed. Quick/fast bike, but mostly built for trackdays and roadracing, no title and not street-legal.

I built the bike a few years back when I worked at a dealership. Myself and a few co-workers would work after hours a night or two each week to get it done. It was purchased as just a rolling chassis(sort-of) and then stripped to a bare frame. The swingarm was extended and braced but the stock rear brake set-up was retained. From memory, the front forks have TCR springs, heavier fluid(will be changed soon) and air adjusters machined into the fork caps. The upper triple clamp is a TCR aluminum piece and there is an adjustable steering dampener mounted on the left side of the frame. The rear shock is a remote resevoir Fox (Twin Clicker I believe) unit with a "heavy" spring. Aftermarket bodywork(unknown mfg) with only the upper fairing mounted and removeable with 3 Dzus fasteners. The fuel tank is from MiniMotoMan but has a slow leak on the right lower seam and will need to be sealed(will get to it before its sold). Douglas aluminum wheels with Dunlop TT-91's that have less than 2 miles on them! The front brakes are completely one-off and the coolest part of this project. The motor is an early non-powervalve KX-100(1997-98?) that was rebuilt with a new crank, cylinder, piston, every bearing and seal new OEM units. The carb is from a later KX-85. The exhaust is a custom made piece that exits in the center of the tail section ala MotoGP. Radiator is from an EX-250(Ninja 250). 428 chain conversion. Aluminum rearsets.

That's about all I care to type, but if anyone is interested in a cool custom F-1 bike, give me a call. I re-purchased the bike from a guy in Iowa with hopes of campaigning 2 or 3 bikes this year but work is taking all of my time and I would rather concentrate on my little DRZ. It needs a fluid service and to be nut & bolted. It is a fun/fast/unique ride that should be relatively competative with a skilled rider.

$1800 with the minimal spares I have(stock wheels, misc stock pieces, new lower fairing). I am in PA and will meet someone 1/2 way for fuel expenses.

Spare parts update.

- stock YSR gas tank(blue & white). Ugly, but not rusted thru. Needs to be
cleaned and sealed.
- lower fairing(unknown mfg). New and unmounted. Will need to be cut to fit
because of pipe location.
- stock YSR front and rear rims. Blue.
- stock YSR forks and lower triple clamp.
- All Balls steering head bearings. New in box.
- PBI 14t front sprocket. New.
- EK 428 chain. New in box.
- stock KX-100 cylinder in need of a sleeve(great for big-bore).
- Keihin PE-28 carb(originally from KX-100 motor).
- stock KX-100 crankshaft(unknown condition, replaced when motor was
rebuilt).
- stock YSR footpeg brackets, complete.
- rear axle(used).
- front axle, new in bag.
- All Balls wheel bearing set, new in box(2 bearings, 2 seals).
- 44t rear sprocket, steel(used).
- stock YSR speedo drive).
- stock YSR CDI box and coil.
