Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun Haha, I know fellas, I'm slacking hardcore. I installed the lighting coil and new stator cover today (cut around the sprocket for easy access). -Make the windscreen -Install High capacity oil pump and stiffer clutch springs -Install Trail Tech Gauge -Install headlight (going with the oval one mounted like shawn's TLR, hideaway esque) -Install tail light/plate -Cut out vents in the tail -Mount front Brake caliper -Get everything powder coated -Paint bodywork Really not that much left, just haven't had time lately Shawn: You gonna go to Indianapolis for the GP?

Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun Got some nice upgrades on today. +3 Aluminum swingarm, Works shock w/ reservoir mounted under tail, calamari fork brace and calamari clip ons. ![]() ![]() ![]() Putting on the bigger carb made the tight space situation worse so I moved the frame and added a K+N. It doesn't protrude past the side fairings so it worked out nicely. ![]()

Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun Get'n there, save up and get the triple clamp as well. Much needed. Just got one and and a set of clip-ons and installed them to day. With the clip-ons, triple clamp, fork brake its MUCH more stronger in the front. Keep up the GREAT work! ~Shawn

Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun I found out a CBR600RR windscreen can be HEAVILY modified to work as a NSF screen! I don't plan on racing, but if the front end starts to jiggle in testing I'll get the clamp ordered. I think the swingarm is Calamari. I robbed the 6 upgrades from my stock YSR so I don't know where they came from. Bolted right in. REALLY nice machining and welding.

Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun for my RCV-mini project I used a cheap flimsy cuttingboard to get the shape of the windscreen then went to home depot and bought really cheap clear polycarb 1/8 inch thick. It only cost me 5 bucks and I will be mounting it soon.

Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun I've lost total interest in the project but I'll keep at it later this week. All the parts are in. I know it will be worth it in the end. ![]()

Re: Ysr/crf Conversion Has Begun Fourdoor: I used a Moose lighting coil. You've got to build the rest of the harness and use 12v components, but you can use the YSR as a guide. Dirka: It's from a bunch of different Kawasaki models. For sure from the EX650 Ninja. I think it fits a bunch of the Vulcan 800 models too but check the brake pads to see what else they fit.
