Re: WTB NSF 100 Windscreen?

I made mine out of 1/8 or polycarb. Picked it up at home depot for 5 bucks. I used a really thin Dollar Store cutting board to fit the right shape on the bodywork first then used the cutting board as a template.

How strong is the polycarb stuff from home depot? I'm assuming if cut properly, you won't see any cracks or develop any after mounting it to the fairing right?

I may have to build my own windshield soon too as I can't quite justify the $100 they want for the regular old windshields...

As long as you fairing stay goes to the top of your upper and is good and strong it will hold almost any bend. That polycarb stuff bends really well. I had to used some for my headlight cover . Lows sells all kind of thickness. I used 6mil. 4mil would be good for a W/S.

Hey where have you guys gotten the stock nsf faring stay? I don't hav eanything holding my upper and it flopps around a bit when i get above 80kms.

ALSO do you guys think the Athena 75cc big bore kit is worth it without an afermarket exhuast or aftermarket carb?

I plan on staying with the stock pipe due to budget issues.

All I'm looking for is a bit better top end, I want to be able to cruse at 100kms without the bike being at 11000rpms
