For those of you who want bolt on wheels for an NSR50/ZB50 conversion or Monkeybike project, here is the current aftermarket choices available.

We'll start easy and work our way up. These are the one piece wheels, and not the monkeybike wheel/seperate hub options. From Cheapest to Highest.

1. Stock NSR50 3 spokes - Market Price for New or Used
2. Stock NSR50 6 spokes - Market Price for New and Used

And for the king of all racing wheels, the Carbon Fiber BST's...

The weight of front wheel is 1.4kg (Marvic 1.65kg)
The weight of rear is 1.62kg (Marvic 2.1kg)

$2300-$2400 retail

All of the wheels in this thread all use the NSR50 sprockets, spacers and rotor sizes folks. They fit the NSR50 and NSF100F and the Monkeybike applications that take NSR50 wheels.

The choices are getting greater and you are only limited by your pocketbook on how fancy you want to go..

I've personally owned the 3 and 6 spoke NSR50 wheels, and the Galespeeds in polished aluminum. I don't have any pending project bikes to run any of the other wheels other then what I already own, and Marvics for the time being are only going to be imported in the gold-magnesium color.

In my honest opinion, for racing applications, I'd run the Marvic's, the galespeeds or the BST's and for a custom build, would run the Rhythm Asterisks.. If I were to purchase another set of aftermarket wheels, it would be the Asterisks for my 2003 Monkey. But I digress...

I plan on doing some serious work on the NSF at the end of this season.
Maybe I'll hit you up for a set of those Marvics.

All the big-name Japan Mini-GP race teams are switching to or running the BST wheels..

Not for the faint of pocketbook...

The Rhythm units look like they are wider than stock? Sharp looking units.

Those are prototypes. I just got the pricing last night and am waiting a return email to describe sizes.

I can import 3 and 6 spoke used wheels all day long, but from a business standpoint, it's a waste of time. You can't tell condition from pictures and a good amount of the used wheels out of Japan are worn out and expensive to ship. Wheel shows up and it's junk and can't be resold. It's not worth hassle.

so basically, 6 spokes are out of the question huh, they go for pretty cheap on japan yahoo auction, compared to here

I hear ya there. I was thinking some used galespeeds or something since everyone is switching to BST's over there.

Anyways, I'm gonna shoot you a pm on some other nsf stuff I'd like to put my hands on. Hopefully you can assist.

Surprised you did not include the Falcons, they were one of the only players until recently. Now they come in solid colors, which I can't really decide if I like.

I didn't include any of the wheels that take the 4 bolt Monkey Hubs.

Daytona makes 12" wheels, G-craft Makes 3 piece 12" wheels the list goes on and on.

However, the 3 piece wheels end up being just as or more expensive and I highlighted the NSR50 spaced one piece wheels in this exercise.

I really like the Falcons...
