Nsr50 cdi I have a 1999 Honda NSR50 and it has a limiter on it... once it hits 60km/about 40mph it doesnt go any faster. I ordered a new Kitaco cdi unit and it came in the mail, but i do not know how to install it. theres 7 connections on the Kitaco one and 8 on the OG one. everything is in japanese also, so i dont know what color goes to what or anything... can someone tell me how to intall it???

Re: Nsr50 cdi I have a Posh aftermarket CDI on my 92 NSR50. When I took it apart to to rebuild, I noticed that there were a few dangling wires on the harness that was not connected. On the CDI side though, everything lined up color for color from the CDI to the harness. I'll be working on the electrical soon on my NSR and will take some close up shots of the wiring on mine.

Re: Nsr50 cdi Sorry it’s taken so long but below is a picture and the wiring used on my 1992 NSR50 Wiring Harness <-------> Posh Racing CDI Black/Yellow <-------> Yellow Black/Red <-------> Red Black/White <-------> White Green <---Connector Plug----> Green Blue/Yellow <---Connector Plug----> Cyan So my 92 only had 5 wires. Hopefully that helps with your 99. ![]()
