Oh sah-weeeeet.
So with an XR100 engine, you can get an undertail exhaust to complete the look.
and Brembo brakes and USD forks too. It's endless.
Is that a cover for the tank?

Arrrggghhh!!! How much? Where's the link to the manufacturer and the headlights? Japan always gets the good stuff... I wonder if I can afford this.

才谷屋ファクトリー最新情報 - livedoor Blog(ブログ)

Hmmmm.... Under $400. Plus shipping may be doable for me.

And man, they also have the parts needed so you don't need to weld tabs onto the frame to fit NSF style tails:

Re: NSR 1098 Fairings

Oh $400 just for the upper? Doh! I still would need the mids/lowers. Babelfish is failing me for their website.

Man that still looks dead sexy... I found someone local that will do custom headlights for me into fiberglass fairings for around $250 so with the cost of the fairings plus the labor to mold the lights, I was thinking that these 1098 fairings were still viable.

I still like this style too:

Re: NSR 1098 Fairings

yeah having the 1098 lense already in place is the easier way to go. i'm sure you'll have to buy the headlight still though.

try google to translate.

Re: NSR 1098 Fairings

It's actually the squared off JDM headlights that puts me off the most about the OEM bodywork. I like the OEM look, but it just dates the look of the bike which is fine if you want to go for a more classic look for the NSR (which I am not ruling out completely for a future project. Thats why it pains me to think about having to repaint the original JDM plastics I have). So my alternative is to store the JDM plastic in boxes in the attic and buy some aftermartket fairings that I can molest and paint without any guilt.

I drooled over the pics on that site and noticed the key piece to the headlight is the same PIAA driving light used on the other NSR/NSF aftermarket bodywork. The headlight housing is just a glorified intake vent on the upper fairing where you can mount the foglight as the headlight.

Technically it's Saitaniya Factory. Same company most of the guys are using for the front ZB50 fenders on the NSR50 forks. Brad, (Justin then Ernesto), Jay, Manimal, etc. High quality parts but not cheap. Shipping is a bear on those big pieces as well.

Re: NSR 1098 Fairings

That's a horrible 1098 rip off. It looks more like a CBR.

I didn't know those square ones were oem. Yeah, that's the one I was referring to... this headlight like on SpeedyCorky's nsr.
