NSF100 110cc legal race head kit Would there be any interest in a bolt-on 109cc kit with a ported 29/24 head?

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit I'm waiting on the pistons. It's a modified Lifan BV head, ported with o/s valves. It has a bearing cam, and straighter and larger ports. Won't fit a XR frame, but runs right up the middle of a NSF or lowly YSR. Just checking interest before I make more than the first one.

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit Trailbikes sells a 115cc kit that utilizes the stock head for the NSF100 as well. Fire - It sounds like the kit you are developing includes a different head. Just be aware if you market your services here, you'll be paying to advertise...

And 115cc won't fit a 110cc class limit, without a little de-stroking, but that's another story It's a Lifan BVH modded to bolt to an XR barrel, with the right domed piston to make it squeeze ok. Only one so far, and it's not 100% ready. I'm still sorting cam sprockets vs deck height issues. 14/28, 15/30, and 16/32, wanna get the tensioner to work just right. Might even end up with a long-rod 80 crank instead to save some lathe work going all Jenny Craig on the 100 lump. I wouldn't dream of skirting the payola, and would just be offing some parts I have and decided I'm not going to use. Just feeling around Last edited by firepower354; 04-01-2008 at 09:37 PM. | |

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit I'd definetly be interested depending on work involved and power output vs. the powroll 110 kit for the XR100: POWROLL PRODUCTS FOR THE HONDA XR100 2001-CURRENT

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit The stock head is a turd. Powroll adds compression, but still gonna have little ports and valves.

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit Sweet! Yet another reason to hate the lame-azz stock head. The 118 I built for the neighbor kid's 80 stopped running. I peeked at the top end today. Web 69/68 was blue. Not a good sign. Ported head, cam, rockers all junk. Looked like an oiling issue, and the lack of bearings on the cam made a bad deal go worse.

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit yeah.... have seen numerous stock xr100 head issues on road racers. on low rpm "trail use" bikes its probably never an issue. built a 115 superhead motor for a friend 2 years ago. it ripped. the stock head on most of the 4strokes is the issue, but the 100 is horrible..... like we all dont know that.....

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit anybody else ever use the takegawa super head on the crf/xr/nsf 100 ?? I am doing a build for a friend now and I am wondering how far the takegawa 115 cylinder can be bored to before I order it ??

Re: NSF100 110cc legal race head kit Hundreds of them out there... The 115 kits are about maxed for bore. The case hole ID is too small for a big meaty sleeve. You can sleeve one offset, and bore the cases to the edge of disaster and get about 60mm bore. I know a guy trying a SCUT type setup too There's room to throw a bunch more crank around in there though.

2mm overbored stocker is 107. Pretty common. Powroll has one, but for the stock (lame) head. I've got a bottom end with a light crank and 80 trans for sale, too, if you're looking for a little more Zing. Last edited by firepower354; 08-08-2008 at 05:13 AM. | |
