All you need to know about the YERBI My friend, Ray Thompson, in florida has been doing these swaps for over 5 years now. And he has created a very informative page with a lot of info on swaping a Derbi GPR motor into your YSR. Website: Floridaysr.com What's great about this swap is that it needs ZERO welding on your part. All the parts are bolt in and go. These little motors will get you to 65mph no prob if they are left stock. Or they can get you past 80mph if modified. They have electric start and a lighting coil so you can have blinkers, lights, and a battery. If you are intersted in a swap like this you can grab a lot of the stuff like a modded pipe, motor mounts, and radiator mounts from Ray and you can source your own motor and stuff. Or you can call Ray and he might have everything you need already.

Re: All you need to know about the YERBI I agree. With the use of Ray's motor mounts, this motor just bolts right in within the YSR chassis and cradle. However, even without Ray's mounts, and for those experienced with some metal work, the mounts can easily be made with little effort. To add, there is so much potential (hp upgrades) for the Derbi motors, up to 24+ hp (Metrakit hop-ups).

Re: All you need to know about the YERBI Does somebody know where there is a Derbi Dealer? I have 4 Derbi motors in various states of tune in my Metrakits, and I have no way other than Cycle Imports or Metrakit Canada for which to get parts. If somebody knows of a dealer or a parts source that I'm not aware of, it would be helpful. ---T
