Any ideas on what the track will be like? Jumps, estimated lap times, actual starting gate or just flag? Just curious, really looking forward to racing there this summer...

There will be 1 jump. It will be a freestyle kicker to dirt landing, 100 ft. gap over an alligator pit.....j/k

Seriously though, the track will be laid out as soon as the snow melts. I will then post some pics soon after. I do know that it will be a flag start though...

i wish they allowed 12'' tires also. i would for sure head out there and race. i have raced winged karts there before. its awesome place.

I would head out to race for sure but why only 10" bikes why not 12 for all us others. I guess I might have to rebuild my 10" bike now

Well this whole pitbike thing began last summer. There were about 6-8 of us with stock motored 50's and we raced the kart track a couple times last summer. So Chad, the owner of the track, asked if he should build an MX track in the infield for this coming summer. He told him, "of course" and that's how the whole thing got started. Since we all have 50's, I think that's why they went with the 10" wheel class. If there is enough interest, they will add additional classes next year. So for all you 12" guys, e-mail Chad and let him know your interested. Tell him that Jon told you to contact him.

Any updates on how the track is coming along, if it's even started at all? It's dry here in Menomonie, and I'm dying to ride somewhere! Back home where I'm from (Medford) everything is soup yet. Anyone from Menomonie or in the area with a backyard track to ride?

We havent started the track we were just able to get onto the go kart track last night we have to get that ready to go and get everything squared away with the karts before we start building the track. The Track will be ready for the season opener on the 24th of May as i get more info i will keep things updated on here for you guys as i work at the track!!

I have a bunch of buddys with 6 more bikes total and all modded 50's up to a 108 stroker(mine) that would all race and were all from Eau Claire! Keep us posted!

We will be finalizing the track tommorow all things are a go for the first race on next saturday night May 24th. Snocrossracer and myself helped lay out and design the track it looks like it should be fun ill try to get some pics taken and uploaded sometime early this week hope to see a lot of you guys out there next weekend. Thunder Hill Speedway - Home has all the rules and info on the class.

BUMP Dont forget this Saturday Night hot laps at about 5:30pm We will run 2 heats and a Feature just like the karts do at the track. There is a full concession stand on the ground and a huge hill to watch the go kart races from while waiting for the next race it lot of fun hope to see a lot of you guys there.

Check out Thunder Hill's website. They have all the race dates posted. It is pretty much every other weekend from here on out.
