New MN(metro) track

Hey guys,

I wanted to let everyone know that we got the track built on saturday. We ended up only having one bobcat and miniracer88 put in a very long day building the track. Thanks again!!! We have some fine tuning to do and there is plenty of room to expand if we want. Our idea was to get something ridable and go from there.

We are in need of a bobcat with tracks to do some packing. If you have or know of where we can get one please let me know.

Hope to see everyone come out and check it out.

thanks ryan

Located off hwy 10 and armstrong blvd in ramsey, mn

we used a lawn mower to pack our track. it works great cause you can really regulate how much you pack.

Re: New MN(metro) track

the problem is we need to spread some clay/black dirt and its hard to do without tracks. We did two berms with the bobcat and it took forever.

I will try and get some pics posted. My buddy took them and he needs to email them to me.

Re: New MN(metro) track

Is this a free rideable track any day of the week? Please post some pics. Is it easy to find? I'm very interested in riding, just a little more detail about it would really help! Thanks!!!

Its open to a the public. there will be a small fee to ride but it should be really reasonable. You can pretty much ride there any day of the week.

Im working on pics... stay tuned!!!

i havent been able to get ahold of shane, maybe i will steal the girlfriends camera this weekend. I promise pics next weekend.

miniracer88 when you think you can come back out to ride and build some whoops. the land owners bobcat has tracks so we can pack some more clay in.

Re: New MN(metro) track

It would be ok right now, but we got 14 loads of clay/black dirt to spread out and mix in. Once we get it done, it will be perfect for any size bike. We are building it for any size bike or skill level. It nice because if you want to go build you can or if not you will still have fun.

I am just lining up a bobcat with tracks and someone to drive it to put the finishing touches on the track.

Here are the pics--

we are going to add some whoops and a few more jumps. Like i said before, if we can get some guys using it, there is plenty of room to make it much bigger.

Re: New MN(metro) track

Nice little track, is it north of Hwy 10, and where exactly is it on Armstrong Blvd? I mapquested this but still need more specifics if I want to come up and ride it. Also where do you park and what are the fees?

Thanks!

Re: New MN(metro) track

Thanks guys,

I have rode a few laps and its a blast. We are planning on adding to the track but with only one bobcat the day we built it, we started to run out of time.

Northside Sports Park Paintball Speedball, Rec Ball, Minnesota, Ramsey, RC Cars for directions. Also, i dont know the price to ride, but call and ask for vincent. There is a parking lot right behind where i took the pics from. let me know if anyone is planning on going up to ride as i live really close and would love to meet up and turn some more laps.

Re: New MN(metro) track

I went riding last night. The track is a ton of fun. Only thing that could have made it better is if someone was there to bang bars with.

Also the fee is $25 and you can ride all day long. Give me a call if you are going to head up there. 612-720-4211

Re: New MN(metro) track

So can we start riding as early as 8 am? I am planning to come up and ride the week after next, either Monday or Tuesday. Let me know who we pay to ride there.

Thanks

Re: New MN(metro) track

Are you talking about this today or tom. they open at 11 today and noon tom. If you call up there and talk to vince. I work until 5 but i can stop by and ride after work.

if you are thinking about riding next week, i would call vince and see if you can arrange to come up earlier and ride.

let me know what you are thinking

Re: New MN(metro) track

No, actually it will be either next Tuesday or Wednesday, not this week at all. I will call Vince later in the week and see if I can try to ride earlier if possible, I'm a morning guy!
