MN Outdoor series??

Hey guys--
I have been doing some thinking and wanted to throw it out there to see who would be interested, i know of a place where we might be able to build a real mini track and hold some races through out the summer. Since motokazie will not be running pit bike nationals this year i thought maybe we could get some thing else going. I was going to contact the guy this week but wanted to know if we could get some guys to interested and race.

Let me know what you guys think

Re: MN Outdoor series??

Awesome!!

I called the guy and talked to him on the phone and he liked the idea. Going to stop by and iron out some details. Going to try and keep this as fun and inexpensive as possible.

Does anyone have the equipment, time, and skill to build our track?

I could get a bobcat or maybe two and could help with whatever i can do. I just dont have any seat time in a bobcat.

Re: MN Outdoor series??

I have a bobcat and access to more. I have seat time and have built a few tracks. I am definatly in for this idea and have probably 12-13 others also. Where is this location? someones house? You should PM me and I will give you my number and we should get goig on this. What type of track are you thinking of? Size difficulty? what bike do you ride and skill level? Sorry so many questions but you got me pumped about this. Is there dirt avaiable or would itneed to be trucked in? If so I have soe access to dump trucks but not always and gas gets spendy.

Re: MN Outdoor series??

I met with the owner of the sight last night. He is more then willing to let us build the track we want. There are two different spots we could build a track. I wanted to get a few guys together so we can plan the layout and get the ball rolling. Also plan when we would like to start moving dirt.

Does anyone have connections for getting some dirt? The soil seems to be sandy and if we could mix in some clay i think it would make for some good dirt.

Please PM me if you would be interested.

thanks

Re: MN Outdoor series??

You know what would be sweet... Get some more tracks maybe find people with nice mini tracks around the area and make it not so boring and go to a different track on the weekends... but maybe if i get a new mini i could drop buy im like 200 or so away and sometimes in the summer we go to our land by DL and hangout for a few weeks. I got a big track and a mini track over here.

Re: MN Outdoor series??

Sorry for the delay on any update. This site is in Ramsey, MN right off hwy 10(nw cities). It would be open to the public for riding whenever you want to ride. Currently, they have an offroad rc car track on the land we can build on. A buddy and I went and rode on it this weekend. After talking with the land owner, we are in need of some dirt. The ground is sandy and some clay to mix in would be a good thing.

Also, we are in need of someone with track building experience and bobcat access to help build. I have one bobcat and operator, however, he lives a couple hours away and can only come for build day. If you can help in anyway please PM me or call 612-720-4211.

Re: MN Outdoor series??

Keep checking Craigslist in the free section for dirt, there usually is a contractor or someone who has lots of dirt looking to get rid of but you usually have to take minimum of one full load.

Re: MN Outdoor series??

You dont mix it like you are making cookies but use the clay or dirt where you need to keep things from breaking down.

thanks for the idea, i will check cragslist today.
