Slow wheelie trouble? I am new to stunting and just recently got an 05 CRF 50 and just put a BBR big bar kit on it and what a difference. It even came with a very nice true 1/4 turn throttle that I might swap to the MX bike. Any way I can do some long a$$ whellies in 2nd and even 3rd and keep it up on the BP but in 1st I just fall to one side or the other. I honestly think the speed makes it easier to balance side to side and even on the BP. I have no hand brake yet so I am not sure if dragging one would help but my back brakes suck any way. They wont even lock up and skid, might do the free brake mod/grind. I have a HD Applied rear spring I have not yet installed will it help? Any suggestions I really need to get the slow wheelies down, they just would be so cool to pull around the neighbor hood. Thanks PS still riding on stock knobbies.

Re: Slow wheelie trouble? I'm in the same boat man. I'm looking for answers with you but I would definately install that spring! I don't know if it helps a ton but it definately makes it more comfortable haha. BTW I've heard street tires are sweet, I'm gonna invest in some in a couple weeks.

Re: Slow wheelie trouble? Street tires will help alot and just use your knees to balance. Slower wheelies are harder to balance because of the side to side balance comes into play. Just practice because it all comes down to a LOFT problem (lack of fu&^kin talent)

Re: Slow wheelie trouble? yea if you learn to keep your feet on the peggs you will get it down in no time when u let ur feet come off the peggs u start to form bad habbits lol u gotta keep the feet on the peggs and use ur knees try sitting back where the fender meets the seat or a lil farther back depending on your weight that should be right around the balance point

Re: Slow wheelie trouble? Gonna get a set of IRC MB38's this week. Thanks I'll report back when I have some more success. I think I need to get another BBR tall seat cause this is starting to become addictive and my a$$ is starting to pay the price.

Re: Slow wheelie trouble? i wouldnt really slide back while you're trying to pull up a wheelie. Just sit towards the back of the seat, roll on the throttle, and pull up. it will get easier with more seat time.

dude honestly all you have to do is practice it on a hill in 2nd gear not like a huge hill but a descent size becuase itll be alot easier at first then once u get it down u go to flat land but wheeling on a 50 is so easy once u get it down on a hill just pull back and give it gas its fun once u get it down to. but yea trust me practice on a hill and listen to these guys get some street tires | |
