Re: Q&A about stunting helmet and gloves is all i wore if your talking about that gear. first gear if your talking about that gear. if you can do it in first you can do it in all the gears. and it depends on you on how fast you learn new tricks. start with staggards and then sitdowns and go from there

Re: Q&A about stunting Every rider and every trick is differnt, you just have to go out there and ride the bike. I learned by dragging my feet during wheelies, and I just slowly started to put my feet on the footpegs more and more every time.

Re: Q&A about stunting 1st gear with no handbrake. any gear with a handbrake. throttle response is slow in higher gears tho. jumping first, wheelie, endo, pro-hop, one hander, can can, coaster(if you have a manual clutch), no hander, then just start rolling combos. depends on the trick. make sure you set the bike up so it is comfortable before you even try a trick.

Re: Q&A about stunting 2nd gear staggered is usually the easiest to learn. I started with that, then into sit down 2nd gears. Took me 3 days to be able to hold 2nd gear staggered. 3 days to be able to hold sit down 2nd gears. Taking me forever to get circles. I think I am a slow learner when it comes to 1st gear.

Re: Q&A about stunting Are you happy Twister? Theres a helpful post. I think everyone is taking his posts too seriously. Im not going to speak for shawn but i think he's in the same boat as me about a lot of these questions about wheelies. There has to be a million of these threads about how to do a wheelie, protection people wear, what gear they should do stuff in, etc. it gets old and boring. so why not throw in a few sarcastic posts for a laugh or to see how people react? In regards to the topic on hand: I suggest getting your basic sit-down and stand-up wheelies down first. I learned in 2nd gear since side to side balance is easier than 1st gear. Get used to riding balance point and how to steer the bike around in both positions and then move on to the harder stuff. The basics are going to take the largest amount of seat time. Everyone learns at their own pace so theres really no way to give you a good estimate of how long it should take. Personally i only wear gloves while riding. When i first started (wrecked a lot) i also wore shin and knee protection since its usually the first thing to hit the ground when you wreck. Last edited by Zar; 07-18-2008 at 10:50 AM.
