Peg Wheelies?

I just put a set of 50 Stunt pegs and HB on my 50 and have to tell you peg wheelies are a lot harder than I thought they would be. I figured they would be easier than sit down but not true. Props to all you guys that jump from sit down to peg wheelies and back like it's nothing, I guess you made it look to easy which made me figure it was. My problem is to much side to side movement. The pegs only amplify any little weight shift making it veer to the oppisite direction.

I guess only pratice, pratice, pratice will help. At least my a$$ will get a brake now.

Some street tires would probably help you out a lot.

Re: Peg Wheelies?

yeah, it takes some time to get used to keeping even weight on both pegs.

Re: Peg Wheelies?

you run your brake setup wrong by the way..... In that pic....your foot brake should be routed to the top and and the rear hand brake to the bottom of that brake arm....and take the spring from the foot brake and transfer it to the handbrake.

i have mine set up the same way mazz does. the logic being that my foot can apply more force than my fingers. so the hand brake goes up top because it will have more leverage. if you put the foot brake rod up top it will start to bend with that bracket. i also just went to the hardware store and got some extra springs to place on the handbrake so it snaps back better.

Re: Peg Wheelies?

It took me like 3 days of anger and yelling to get peg wheelies good, I figured out my problem was I wasn't leaning back far enuf and once i dropped my ass down and back a little more It was all fun and games Im still having a hard time doing circles like this b/c I go in to fast and after a 180 rotation my momentum pulls me over

Yeah could you send me a pic cause I just got these used and only took my best guess as to how to mount it.

I need to do the brake mod to cause my back brakes suck even with the foot pedal.
Thanks Anthony
