Re: manual VS. auto clutch Its all about what you are comfortable with. I like auto clutch for the 50. Just what I am used to. Manuel is nice for coasters and touch and go's

I tried a manual clutch, makes it easier to clutch up from a dead stop and allows you to pull the clutch in to keep from stalling/auto clutch disengaging. You will have 2 levers on the left bar. I stunted big bikes with a dual caliper handbrake, so I was used to it. To each your own. I personally am keeping the auto clutch until it craps out then buying a manual set up. | |

Re: manual VS. auto clutch My vote goes to the Auto clutch, especially if you're just starting. Its one less thing you'll have to think about.

Re: manual VS. auto clutch +1 for starting out on a auto clutch, definatly easier. But if you learn with the manual, you'll be that much better.

Re: manual VS. auto clutch Auto clutch definitly takes majority being that the bikes come stock with them, but their's also a handful of people killing it with manual clutches (Prickster and a retiree LTW come to mind).

Thanks for those kind words, don't know about LTW... The manual vs auto debate. I have run a 125 motor both manual and auto. I like manual better for the fact you can cut the drive to the rear at any time, but you have to learn how to use 2 levers instead of one, which takes time to learn and setup. What is better is safety during rolling burnouts, super easy touch and goes, coasters, and don't forget clutching it up... It is up to the rider what they like more, what might be good for one, might not be good for others. But start off with the auto first, then if you want, go manual...
