Re: how to start unicycling?

depending on the heigth you either pedal up by using your dominate foot to push a short backstroke to a balanced position, if it's a stilt unicycle you basically do the same from a side stand,ie ladder positioned beside the beast, stand over using your dominate foot to push a backstroke to balance point. Hallways are great to learn in as you can catch yourself, although we had to repair a few holes from pedals

Is this a mini stunt or do you mean real unicycle. I can only help with the latter.

Stand in front of the bike, throttle it up and at the same time jump up with it, try to get your feet on the pegs as quick as possible to provide support.

^ thats just what ive gathered from watching them. havent really tried them though.

if you dont normally wear i helmet then i would definetly consider one when trying this.

LOL Hey Jamie, what's up??? The 108 is still kicking my azz... Thanks for the hook up...

As for the uni's. You can try them from in front of the bike, but the only problem is you are learning how to jump into a uni. Easier way, start on your 12 bar, bike running, kick it in gear, and start rolling. Once rolling lean forward, and start riding it.... You need to get your feet set on the pegs FIRST!!! Or, last but not least, you can get a PRB or make one, it will make it a ton easier....

It's in the dirt build, that is now for sale... Got worked Saturday in the Florida Sand... Last time I am letting that 108 kick my azz. In the vids, my stunter has a 125 Pit King in it... But I got a 88 Takegawa motor sitting on the shelf for when the 125 finally dies... Been running for over 2 years with same piston and rings, but still ripps like no other, but the 108 will eat it!!!!

In the video I put up, that is Jay-R with Tight FX on Aaron Colton's stock fiddy at StuntWars last year...

Dayum, and here I thought it was you all along prickster. Sand and pit bikes don't get along so well together, but on dirt they're a blast. Sucks you're selling the dirt bike after all the work you put into it man. My stock piston and jug were fine in my GPX as well after 18 months of hard riding on them when I tore it down to do the 146.

get some vids of you trying them man. i could probably do it honestly but i just can't sack up to try it, and well its one of those tricks that are cool to see for like a couple seconds and then it gets old imo. not too worried about learning them.

How could you get Jay-R confused with my little azz??? Yeah sand sux, and Florida is full of it... Unless I ride ACE, even the private tracks around are sand... Great for big bikes, but sux for fiddys... Hell, I have fun building bikes, and try to make each one better and better. The dirt build was fun, but the new stunt build will be SICK!!!! Totally custom sub frame... No need for 12 bars, and a new rear set between the front and rear pegs... How are you liking the 146??? I still want to see this bike...

Re: how to start unicycling?

its helps when you have a friend hold the tail of your fiddy. That way it won't run you over when you come down. They can also sort of push down to hold you up AND help you with the side to side balance.
