im looking to buy a gpx 124 but i like wheelieing. im good and using the back brake now but will it be to hard to wheelie if i get this motor or will i be fine. Im also not just gonna use it for stunting but also for racing around.

Re: GPX and stunting???

shouldnt need to back brake as much because the 124 shouldnt run out of motor

Re: GPX and stunting???

just learn good thorttle control and you'll have no problems.. you only need the back brake for slowing down a wheelie or to save from looping

If you already have brake control, just get the motor and adapt to it

Re: GPX and stunting???

My old stunter had a built up 110 and i loved it for circles... Most guys say the stock 50 motor works the best for stunting but alot of guys are running 88's. My guess is you will love being able to high chair easily/circle easily/wheelie easy.

Re: GPX and stunting???

yah I have stage 2 tb 88cc kit and its easy as hell to wheelie and stunt on. Now that im use to that, I can hop on my buddies bike with extended swinger and 110 motor and can to the same stunts on his bike. It was actually really easy on his bike and would say its not really any harder on his either.

Re: GPX and stunting???

my friend has a lifan 125 and pretty much only stunts with his. way easier to wheelie a stock bike with a 125 than my 88 race head with +2 swinger and sp-5's.

Re: GPX and stunting???

I think a lot of it depends on the bike setup as well. I have a dirt fiddy with a +1 frame, +2 swinger, long travel dirt suspension, and a GPX 124. I can wheelie it, but nowhere near as smooth or as far as my stocker. It's just not a stunt bike. But in a stock geometry bike, it might work.

Re: GPX and stunting???

well, to revisit my original post..... i've been riding a Z 50 with a 141cc big bored lifan 125 motor and it WAS stunt friendly as could be , very smooth wide power band with no abruptness except the initial hit off idle. well, if you are still going with the GPX DON'T PUT A CAM IN IT!!! i put a cam in my 141 and it lost all stuntability, the powerband is just too explosive now and it's very hard to maintain smooth throttle in a wheely.. it will throw you off FAST.. but oh well, i love the power so i'll ride it like this since i have an 88 race head stunter for everyday use

if you ever did it post up some pics
